Our Welcome Walkthrough is a great introduction to Nottingham Contemporary, the current exhibitions, featured artists and their work. We will explore our current exhibitions, Julian Abraham 'Togar': Reꓘonciliation, Claudia Martínez Garay: WAKCHAKUNA / We Who Share Everything and Nothing and Hamid Zénati: Two Steps at a Time.

Led by our friendly and knowledgeable team and community partners from Ubuntu, this Welcome Walkthrough is a relaxed but social space to experience our brand new exhibitions. Moving around the galleries together as a group, we steer clear of jargon whilst sharing insights on artworks, inviting visitor thoughts and answering questions.

The Welcome Walkthrough is the first in our regular Wednesday Walkthroughs which run throughout the duration of each exhibition, offering opportunities to explore artists, themes and works in more depth.

After the Welcome Walkthrough visitors are invited to the café to continue conversations over refreshments (optional).

From 2pm-3pm, Nila Shah from Ubuntu will be hosting a sound bath in Gallery One. You can book a free ticket for the soundbath by clicking here. Please note, a separate ticket is required for both the soundbath and walkthrough.

Ubuntu is a community research group that works to improve the way art spaces connect with people across the city.
