Transport
We are one of the best connected art centres in the UK and accessible from all major transport routes. Nottingham Contemporary is right next to the Lace Market Tram Stop, five minutes from Nottingham Railway Station and the Green NCT bus routes. And only a few minutes’ walk from the city’s shops and Broadmarsh Centre. We are number 26 on the city’s ParkSmart Map, in the Lace Market zone. It’s one of the country’s very easiest galleries to get to. You can’t miss the green and gold building opposite the Weekday Cross monument.
Main bus operators and the tram offer discounted travel to families and groups including:
Group Tram Tickets (the Grouprider) can be bought on tram and allow 2 Adults and up-to 4 Children (under the age of 16) to travel all day as much as you like for £8.
NCT Day Group/Family : All day bus travel within the City Area, Covers up to 5 people (minimum 1 adult, maximum 2 adults) School Days: £8, Weekends and Holidays: £4, Weekday Evenings (after 17:00 until Christmas) £4.
Access
Nottingham Contemporary is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities from the main entrance at Weekday Cross. The main galleries, Small Collections Room and shop are on street level with access to Cafe.Bar.Contemporary and The Space via an internal lift.
Access to the Cafe.Bar.Contemporary for wheelchair users after 7pm is via the Weekday Cross entrance.
