Who Would Be Free Themselves Must Strike the Blow
To mark the closing of Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance, we hosted a two-day gathering where multiple voices questioned the production of feminist discourse, resistance strategies, gender abolition and more.
We had workshops, talks, music, performances, food, and screenings, exploring social movements, protest, violence, care, the commons, rituals and witchcraft. With contributions from Maria Puig de la Bellacasa, Barby Asante, The World in Which We Occur, Jota Mombaça, Shadow Sistxrs Fight Club and many more!
This gathering was centered around three main ‘circles’ or discussions, keeping the format open and creating an environment of conviviality and sharing.
Circle 1: Social Movements / Protest / Direct Action
Circle 2: Care / The Commons / Land
Circle 3: Futures of Gender / Transfeminism
A limited amount of travel bursaries available. Refreshments and childcare will be provided throughout the day.
Some workshops have limited capacity. Please, arrive early to Registration to avoid disappointment.
