The Procedure: A New Commission by Jos Bitelli

The Procedure, hosted by Fionnuala Kennedy, brings clinicians from the nation’s leading agencies to you. This talk show delves into the lives of clinicians and clients, each with unique and compelling reasons for embarking on the life-altering journey of exploring personal experiences of healthcare on public television.

The pilot episode of The Procedure at Nottingham Contemporary’s TV Studio marks the first, large-scale experiment in television by Jos Bitelli. This talk show is set up to question what is and what ought to be the relationship between individuals and institutions, thinking about distance and intimacy and blending the private self with the public persona.

The Performance Commissions are funded by Arts Council England's Catalyst Fund.
