The Grand Tour Revisited

A panel discussion led by historian and broadcaster Kate Williams that traces The Grand Tour from its history as a rite of passage for young aristocrats, to its legacy in collections. Includes alternative perspectives, including those of women writers, post-colonial critics and Nottingham's own Lord Byron. With Tim Knox, Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum and literary scholars Sharon Ouditt and Carl Thompson.
