International Day of the Disappeared
Visit the gallery after hours on International Day of the Disappeared 2019 to honour the people who have lost their lives or remain ‘missing’ as a direct result of migration, conflict or detention. Reflect on personal thoughts, memories or prayers and contemplate The List, by Istanbul-based artist Banu Cennetoğlu, which displays the names of 34,361 people who have died since 1993 as a result of (issues related to) their European migration journey.
