Ugly Art Club is a relaxed space to bring your sketchbook, make friends, drink tea, and free yourself of any pressure to make 'perfect'.

At each club we will have guests artists demonstrating fun techniques to try.

Artists:
Michaëla Kavanagh: Avant-Garde Stamp Making
Create some avant-garde stamps to transfer onto anything you like, tote bags, t-shirts, a piece of artwork or even make a logo for yourself. Think bougie potato printing you did as a kid!

Alessandra Lange: Shape Work
Taking inspiration from Modernism to textile artists, Alessandra will show you how to use simple shapes and bold colours to create an exciting piece of artwork. Experiment with a wide range of materials ranging from oil pastels, to collage, to paint.

1525 Collective (formerly known as Collabor8) is a group of young people that meet up regularly at Nottingham Contemporary. They shape and help run programmes of events, courses and projects, developing useful skills along the way. Their ambition is to connect with people across the city, develop new and exciting ways of working together, and to take on the issues that matter to young people.
We want to hear from you. As part of the group you can develop your own creative practice and knowledge of the arts sector, and build your collaborative and leadership skills and experiences.
