You can virtually walk around our past exhibitions. We've worked with V21 Artspace to document our shows, and give visitors a new experience of our galleries.

Still Undead: Popular Culture in Britain Beyond the Bauhaus, Sep 2019 – Jan 2020, explores how the Bauhaus school’s ideas lived on in Britain, via pop culture and art schools. Encompassing performance, club culture, publishing and commercial design, the exhibition spans the 1920s to the 90s. It features the work of some 50 artists, designers and musicians, which stretch from Vidal Sassoon’s hairstyles to the title sequences of James Bond films, and beyond.

Here are our exhibition notes. Teachers and those involved in home schooling might also be interested in our Learning Notes.

We invite you to respond to exercises inspired by Basic Design. Rooted in Bauhaus principles, Basic Design emphasised experimentation, intuition and individual creativity. Here are a series of exercises that encourage the exploration of light, line, colour, pattern, shape and space.
