Spaces for hire include our spacious, fully-equipped performance space, perfect for conferences, lectures or parties, or smaller and more intimate spaces for meetings and informal gatherings. We offer a full range of technical support, and catering.

Our RIBA Award-winning building, has been described as “the first masterpiece of British architecture of the twenty-first century [1], whilst our artistic programme is internationally renowned and can provide an inspiring, creative environment for your event.

We’re in a central City Centre location with excellent transport links. We’re just minutes from the train station, while the main tram and bus routes run right past us.

Meeting Room

Our Meeting Room is a spacious room with floor to ceiling windows running along one side, giving lots of natural daylight. The Meeting Room is a quiet and unique space to share ideas, recharge batteries and conduct business. It is ideal for meetings with up to 20 people, and comes with a plasma screen for presentations.

The Space

The Space is a visually striking space with exposed concrete walls. It is our largest room and is designed for maximum flexibility – seating, lighting and sound can transform it into a theatre, a conference hall, a performance space, a cinema, or a party venue that can rival the most cutting edge, urban venue. Professional video and audio systems ensure conferences and award ceremonies can be staged with proficiency. The Space can accommodate 120 people on tiered theatre style seating, or up to 300 standing. For a truly impressive event The Space can be hired along with our café bar, Blend at Contemporary, on the same level.

The Studio

The Studio is a creative space, perfect for workshops and training courses and discussions. It has audio-visual facilities and is ideal for a small seminar or talk. The room can be arranged as one large table or multiple group tables, seating around 24 people, or in a theatre style layout, seating up to 35.

Cafe Bar Contemporary

Our café and fully licensed bar, Blend at Contemporary is perfect for a private party or networking event, with space for up to 200 people. It is a contemporary, light flooded space, and if the sun comes out we can open our floor to ceiling windows that leads to our large outdoor terrace. In the evenings, the lights can be turned down low to create an intimate space for lounging or music.
