Feelings in your hands

Feelings in your hands is a new, creative toolkit for children in Years 5 and 6 to support emotional wellbeing.

It comprises of a sculpture in a carrying box and activities linking materials, colours and textures to emotions and situations. It can be used to prompt discussion and encourage children to explore and express their feelings - perfect for transition and nurture groups.

Our Artists can deliver workshops with the resource in your school or you can borrow the resource and use it for free in your school. To book or find out more, please contact the Learning Team on 0115 948 9750, or email learn@nottinghamcontemporary.org for more information.

This resource was developed by Artist Gillian Brent with women from our Loudspeaker programme, a three year project based at Nottingham Contemporary which aims to raise the voices and aspirations of local women through contemporary art.
