David Hockney: A Marriage of Styles

David Hockney: A Marriage of Styles was the first exhibition to open in the Nottingham Contemporary building alongside Frances Stark. It focused on Hockney’s early works, from those produced while he was a student at the Royal College of Art to those produced during his first experience of living in Los Angeles (1954-1968).

A Marriage of Styles took place 14th November 2009 – 24th January 2010 and was the largest group of works by the younger Hockney to be assembled for exhibition to date.
