Jay, Mike

Mike Jay has written widely on histories of science and medicine, and particularly on the cultural history of drugs, madness and psychiatry. His books include High Society: mind-altering drugs in history and culture (2010), which accompanied the exhibition he curated at Wellcome Collection. His writing has appeared in Raw Vision, London Review of Books, Wall Street Journal and Notes and Records of the Royal Society and he is a trustee of the Bethlem Art and History Collection.
