Wholesome Fish

With a raucous harmony of traditional instruments (fiddle, harmonica, accordion, banjo and guitar) underpinned by a cooking rhythm section, Wholesome Fish create music to get you dancing.

With influences spanning a world of styles – from Celtic and gypsy-rooted folk, exquisite ballads and waltzes, to Cajun, boogie-blues and wall of sound punk – the Fish have their own distinctive and powerful sound.

With a career spanning 20 years, their extensive repertoire of original compositions and adaptations of traditional songs has recently been spiced up with the addition of new members and material. The band’s live pedigree and experience speaks for itself, having played festivals and venues, big and small, in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Holland and Czech Republic, supporting acts such as the Pogues, Transglobal Underground, and Jah Wobble along the way.

They have recently played on the same bill with the likes of The Levellers, Liza Carthy, Saxon and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Veteran performers at the Glastonbury Blaggers’ stages and after-show parties, Rory McLeod once joined them on trombone and John Peel broadcast a fishy knees-ups live from Glastonbury on Radio One at 4am! Spreading dance-floor mayhem wherever they go, Wholesome Fish are a life-enhancing experience for anyone who hears them!

Platters and bar snacks available until 9pm, last hot food orders 7pm
