A Summer of Play and Learn

Make the most of your summer holidays by joining us for a feast of creativity, no need to book, just drop in and join us! You can make your own movie, explore the exhibitions with a discovery pack, meet a big cuddly zebra – and get a free badge!

This summer there are free activities for families every day:

Family Wednesdays. 11am -3pm.
Every Wednesday from 27 July until 31 August
Free. The Galleries

10 August - Choose a character from the exhibition and create the character’s personality
17 August - Make your own slogan
24 August - Props of power
31 August - Storyboards

Family Weekends. 11am - 3pm
Every weekend during the exhibition you can join us in The Weekend Family Room, or for our monthly Family Extravaganzas, check our family events section for details on each weeks activity.

Every Day
Star in the longest film ever made! In our World's Your Stage project you can come along and strike some poses in front of our camera and then see your clip online! We've got props and costumes inspired by our Jean Genet exhibition to help you have some fun! Join us 11am - 3pm Every day, except mondays.

You can also borrow one of our free play and learn packs from reception to help you explore our galleries. They are packed full of activities and ideas to help you and your children discover our exhibitions.

Kids can get a free ice cream with any kids meal in Cafe.Bar.Contemporary throughout the Summer Holidays.
