Greg Wilson is a legendary dance DJ – his two club sets at Glastonbury were among the high spots of the festival. DJ magazine called him one of the top 20 remixers of all time, while his Essential Mix for Radio 1 was chosen as one of the top ten in the show’s 17 year old history. Inspired by the links between the Genet exhibition and dance music of the last five decades, Wilson will be mixing live in The Space. We defy you to stand still. Greg Wilson also writes about dance culture for many magazines, and has a celebrated blog Being A DJ. He will be at the decks in The Space from 9pm.

Devon Daley’s tribute to the great rap poet of protest Gil Scott-Heron will start in Cafe.Bar.Contemporary at 6pm. A producer at BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra, Daley has made radio documentaries like Soul Train. Sexual Healing and Bossa and Beyond, working with presenters like Giles Peterson, Trevor Nelson, Mica Paris and Ras Kwame. His Touch of Soul is currently on BBC Radio Nottingham, Radio Derby and Radio Leicester. He also runs the Feel Good film club for black cinema.

Harleighblu “drinks tea and writes songs.” Nottingham’s nineteen-year-old outstanding singer/songwriter will be performing her own music with her band, and reinterpreting some soul and reggae protest classics, linking back to the era of the Black Panthers.
