Steve Pinnock’s Café Du Monde

at Cafe.Bar.Contemporary

15 Jan 2011

Cafe Du Monde is a flaming fusion of acoustic instruments and inspiration gathered from across the world and brought to life by Steve’s near legendary old hand guitar technique. The performance features innovative use of instruments collected during founding member Steve Pinnock’s musical pilgrimage across the world, including and not limited to Turkish Sass, Oud lute from the Middle East, Udu drums from Nigeria, Berimbau from Brazil, Cuatro from Puerto Rico, Tabla from India and Cajon from Cuba.

Steve’s culturally enriched artistry reached its zenith whilst travelling far and wide. He landed some legendary performances including the Montreaux Jazz Festival (Geneve), Comptoire du Jazz (Bordeaux), Safi Bar (Turkey) and The Hotel Saville (Cuba), the haunt of Al Capone, not to mention the MTV performance on behalf of MGM to in Cannes at the 40 years of James Bond celebrations.

Cafe.Bar.Live 8pm 'til late, entrance free.
