Launch Event 2015

1pm – 4pm, drop in. The Space, free.

Join us to celebrate the launch of Refugee Week 2015. Featuring live music performances from Iranian British fusion group 'Arian' and 'Voice of the People' a duo originally from Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Nottingham Refugee Forum's Young Refugees group will also be performing a dance routine created in collaboration with students from Nottingham Trent University.

Also featuring:

  • Invited speakers from Nottingham's refugee community
  • International food tasting courtesy of Womens Culutre Exchange
  • Free face painting by Jay Thomas
  • Creative activities for all ages

A number of partner organisations will be providing information about their services, including:

Refugee Week is an annual national celebration of the positive contribution refugees and asylum seekers make to our communities, taking place between 15 - 21 June 2015.
