The Space

In Production, curated by Beth Bramich, is a platform for East Midlands artists working with film and video. This edition focuses on artists invloved in new projects in Leicester (Mateus Domingos, Two Queens) and Lincoln (Dale Fearnley, over + out) and is chaired by Alice Bradshaw.

Mateus Domingos (BA Loughborough, 2012) ) is part of artists-collective Vanilla Galleries, which has joined forces with Cusp to form Two Queens, a new gallery and studio complex which aims to provide a focal point for Leicester’s artistic community. Domingos is currently developing a series of works which utilise found moving image pieces which are shown repeated or in a tiled arrangement.

Dale Fearnley(BA Lincoln, 2009) works with Laura Mahony to lead over+out - a new project space in Lincoln whose core exhibition and screening programme is a platform for artists working regionally, nationally and internationally. He is currently developing a project about an obscure three piece rock band called DOOM ON BROTHER!!

Alice Bradshaw is an artist and curator based in West Yorkshire, and was a founding member of the Manchester artist collective Contents May Vary, which began as a DIY activity allowing members an opportunity to show work and to develop concerns and critical dialogues with other artists. She is involved in directing a range of curatorial projects, many of which she works on collaboratively, including the Fundada Artists’ Film Festival and the Museum of Contemporary Rubbish.
