One of three Panther related films Godard co-authored in his Maoist period. Pennebaker (who made Don’t Look Back, Monterey Pop, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars) made the film with Leacock from footage Godard shot from his abandoned project One A.M. (One American Movie), which stars the Panthers in San Francisco.
