Hugh Pascall Quintet
To mark the end of Klaus Weber's exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary, Notingham Jazz Composer Hugh Pascall will perform with his Quintet compositions inspired by the collection and notably the 'tritone' wind chime. The postponement of this date (Originally Dec 18th 2011) has brought about the addition of Pianist Ivo Neame of the critically acclaimed Phronesis.
Weber’s Tritone installation will provide a fundamental basis for the works. For composers and improvisers, the tritone is a cornerstone of harmonic development, opening the door to advanced functional harmony.
Trumpet and flugelhorn player Hugh Pascall will be joined by acclaimed tenor saxophonist James Allsopp, drummer Tim Giles and pianist Ivo Neame. Each have gained international recognition for their work as performers and composers. Find out more here >>
