Spellbinding, literate singer-songwriter.
'Terrific Music' - Tom Robinson, BBC 6music
Lisa de'Ville
Eclectic blend of folk, dynamic rock and beautifully crafted songwriting.
"Heart Wrenching songwriting and a beautiful soaring voice which has the potential to cut your heart in two. This EP proves that the dark side is always the more attractive option." - LeftLion Magazine
MuHa
Combining the melodic beauty of Eastern European folklore, North Indian Kathak rhythms, Cuban grooves, Western European influence and original lyrics from Hindi to old Russian and modern Ukrainian, they mesmerize with a musical feast rooted in the Slavonic tradition but drawn from the world.
Ronika
"As with disco dolly/Benitez-era Madonna, the cutesy surface is a disguise for deep involvement in the local underground dance scene. A writer-producer as well as a singer, you could imagine her penning hits for Kylie or becoming the female Stuart Price. As with Price, there is a facility here with late-period disco, electro-funk and synth-pop." The Guardian
Yunioshi
YUNIOSHI are fresh back from their travels playing the Iceland Airwaves festival and ready to unleash their robotic-electrotinged-rock all over you.
"The perfect pop band. They're as catchy as hell." Leftlion Magazine – and yes, there will be a fine selection of cakes thanks to the Yunioshi Catering Corp, as at all their gigs
The music starts at 8pm and the gig will be free, but as it is part of the Hockley Hustle and about raising money for charity there will be a suggested donation on the night.
