There are plenty of reasons to bring your family to Nottingham Contemporary this February Half Term, we've got loads of free activities designed to inspire your children's imaginations and help them to discover our galleries.
Our events are free and all ages are welcome, 11am – 3pm, just drop in.
Sat 16 & 17 February, The Space, 11am - 3pm - Collaborative Flowers and Fauna
The space is in full bloom. Well, it will be once you’ve populated it with interconnected sculptures inspired by the natural world. So, come along with lots of ideas and help us make something truly big, collaborative and extraordinary!
Tues 19 - Fri 22 February (Half Term) In The Galleries, 11am - 3pm - Inspired by Nature
Piero Gilardi’s foam costumes represent the natural world (the watermelon suit is my favourite!). Add some extra style to your half term outfit by making your own costumes inspired by the artworks - the more outlandish the better!
Look out for Mr Zebra on Wednesday.
Sat 23 & Sun 24 February, The Studio, 11am - 3pm - Time Machine
John Newling’s miracle trees grow ever so slowly and give us hints about his ideas of time. How do we measure time? What is a waste of time? How can we buy time and what is a good use of time? Take all these ideas, squeeze them together and invent a time machine that can make time do whatever you want it to.
