July Extravaganza! Sound Map
28 & 29 Jul, The Space
Have you ever thought about the sounds within artworks? Not the sounds you can hear, but the ones you can imagine? Artist Jo Dacombe will set you some inspired tasks to do in the gallery so that you can create your own GIANT sound map in the space. We wonder what sounds your map will make...

Special guests at the Extravanganza

Over the summer City Arts has been working with local people to create a garden of silk sculptures to decorate Nottingham’s Market Square. The silk creations have been made by families and community groups working with artist Panya Banjoko and textile designers Ali Pretty, from Kinetika, as part of World Event Young Artists.

Join them in The Space for your chance to add symbols, words and self-portraits relating to identity to a roll of paper that will travel across the room. These word and images will be transferred to the Silk Route length of silk we’re creating as part of the WEYA festival in September.
