Constructive Destruction

The artist Mona Hatoum's 'Still Life' changes objects of destruction into artworks of colour and beauty. How would you use your artisitc powers to change things that cause harm into works of beauty?

Lots of materials will be provided but why not bring along something you'd like to transform?

Scotch Paintings

Try your hand at making scotch art paintings like those 'painted' by Gil J Wolman.

Look through newspapers to find images that make you think about the world in different ways, cut them up and transfer them onto paper using scotch tape to create a truly powerful artwork.

There are lots of secret spaces to explore at this month's family extravaganza, but they are so secret you cant go inside! Come along and peep inside tiny doors and windows and make surprise objects to leave inside so that others can discover your secrets!
