Nottingham Contemporary working as contributors to the e-flux journal network, presents a series of reading and discussion groups led by Nottingham based collectives and independent initiatives.
On the last Wednesday evening each month until November a reading group will be held in The Study focusing on a key theme or particular article of the current issue of the e-flux journal. The hosting groups of each event will be tasked with leading a discussion in relation to the themes addressed by e-flux journal and presenting a relevant artwork/film excerpt/additional text in support of, or critical dialogue with, the chosen topic. Additionally each group will be invited to provide their own edition of a back cover for the relevant issue of the journal.
Nottingham Contemporary will also commission a back cover design for each publication. A small run of the journals will be printed and made available from the gallery’s Study area, amassing a collection of publications reflecting key critical issues representative of the year’s political and cultural events.
