The Screen at Contemporary: Day Before Night

05 Sep 2018

The Screen at Contemporary presents its summer 2018 film season, Day Before Night. A lot can happen in just 24 hours - join us this summer for moody, feverish and frantic stories told within a day.

On a dank summer’s afternoon in New York, an inexperienced criminal attempts to rob a bank. The chaos escalates into a standoff with the police and an explosive media circus. Based on a true story this became one of the defining films of the 1970s in the height of a new wave of filmmakers and an allegory for the disaffected.
