On a Bat’s Wing

19 May 2011

Bats get a bad press, but poets like Emily Dickinson, Edward Lear, DH Lawrence, Seamus Heaney and Ted Hughes have all been inspired by them. Writers Ross Bradshaw, Cathy Grindrod, Pippa Hennessy and Jenny Swann will read bat poetry and fiction, with projections and recordings from the 966 bat species squeaking in the background.

The Galleries, 7pm, free.

Nottingham Contemporary’s public programme is jointly funded by Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
